Cranio-Sacral Integration is a very subtle touch as it follows the rhythmic motion inherent in all life forms. It connects to the underlying fascia by moving with the body’s own movement, responding to each individual according to his or her own needs.
Every trauma affects this motion creating disturbances in twists, restrictions and resistances. As cranio-sacral integrates with the body’s motion, it establishes a calming balance. This gentle touch allows the body to relax and open up. It feels secure in the fact that it’s not being threatened by force because the body has its own protective mechanism built in.
It addresses the whole system (body, mind, emotions, spirit) for an integrated state of wellness, treating the underlying strength of the system and enhancing the body’s inner wisdom to address what needs resolution.
From simple aches and pains to chronic illness in all ages, it is concerned with enhancing health, strength and vitality at the very core of our being thereby stimulating the body’s own natural potential, assisting it to eradicate the root of any problem.
It is highly effective with problems that haven’t responded well to other forms of treatment such as trauma, shock, accidents, abuse, PTSD, or anything else which makes it an excellent bodywork adjunct with the Illumination Emotional Process. (see description in blog).
It provides us with strong foundations and integrates all the body’s resources to function at optimum level.
One feels deep relaxation spreading throughout the body encompassing a more balanced state of well being; a more wholesome connection of body, mind, spirit and emotions.
